I noticed the icicles when they were almost all gone. There was hardly any left. Its a beauty and I kept the camera aside and stared at it for quite a long time. Its a shame I didn't pay attention earlier.
Lovely photos. I've noticed the snow melts through the slats on my wooden deck in beautiful patterns too. I need to take a camera out there one of these times.
I get tickled with my 92 year old aunt talk about being mischievous. Her mom would tell them to not eat icicles. They weren't clean. Of course, they would sneak around and eat them.
While I m not a huge fan of cold weather, I do agree that icicles are beautiful.
