G for Gingerbread house cake

I wanted to make a gingerbread house, but since I am a cake person I wanted it done in cake. This cake uses a hot milk cake as the base, buttercream for filling, chocolate ganache for outer frosting and red fondant for roof. The rest of the decor was whatever was there at home at that time.

  1. that looks very delicious. I made a gingerbread house from a kit with my kids. It was a lot of fun but the gingerbread wasn't all that nice. I have made a cake house for the birthday of my daughter once a long time ago. She was only 4 and thought it was wonderful. It looked more like a shack than a house... a bit tumbled down but 4 year olds are not judgemental and it had lots of lollies on it so she loved it. Visiting from A to Z challenge.
